In just a few months, Wing Bank has cut its rates for 1 and 2 year deposits by 3.25 percentage points, and for 3 years by no less than 3.75…

Half of the Cambodian institutions we track have cut their rates by 0.25 percentage points. Meanwhile, Wing offers 8.75% for 10 (!) years.

Wing has made the biggest cuts, but it’s certainly not the only Cambodian financial institution that lowered rates, others are Amk, Canadia Bank and LOLC.

All banks and microfinance institutions have lowered their rates, except for ACLEDA and Canadia. However, ACLEDA already made large cuts last month.

Interest rates on fixed deposits cut by up to 1.5 points for a 2-year term in Khmer riel and 1.3 points for a 4-year term in US dollars.

After lowering its interest rates last January, KB Prasac is now lowering its payouts on fixed-term deposits again. All rates were cut by 0.5 percentage points.

Fixed-term deposits with monthly payout at ABA will now give you between 3.50 and 4.25 percentage points less interest than the banks with the highest rates.

ABA Bank cuts interest rates for fixed deposits in KHR: rates for a term of 5 years by 1.5 percentage point!

Microfinance Institution Amk decided to cut interest rates with terms of 1, 2 and 3 years, for both monthly payout and payout at maturity.

A new banner on the website of Woori Bank claims a top rate of 7.85% for USD accounts. However, the highest rate we could find was only 7.75%.

Canadia Bank has raised interest rates by 0.25 percentage point for terms of 1 year and more for deposits in KHR and USD, but is still in the lower ranks.
