Since we last checked, many banks and microfinance institutions in Cambodia have kept their interest rates for fixed deposits almost unchanged, but there’s one exception: KB Prasac. This bank has slashed its rates for US dollar deposits with monthly payouts by 0.5 percentage points. The highest rate they now offer for terms ranging from one to five years is 4.75%. KB Prasac has also cut its rates for USD deposits with payout at maturity. The rates for fixed deposits in Khmer riel have not changed.
Other banks that have cut their rates include: ABA Bank (for USD deposits with payout at maturity), Canadia Bank and Hattha Bank (both by 0.25 percentage points across the board), and Woori Bank (slightly for fixed deposits with terms of two and three years).
Interestingly, Amret raised its rates, albeit only slightly, by 0.1 percentage points. This applies to USD deposits with monthly or maturity payout.
